This has been a real pain. For some reason any time I try to skip or fast forward in any recorded program I get put at the end of the program. I've checked all the skipping settings that I can find and played with them with no change in the behavior. The problem started when I was out of town for a week and came back with the box shut down. I'm guessing a power outage took it down. Any suggestions?

Probably a corrupt seektable. However if you think you took a power hit:
1) Get a UPS that can gracefully handle a power outage. APC branded UPS' are well supported.

2) You may have more than just a bad seektable in your database. You should run a check of the db and repair any errors. Without knowing what version of KnoppMyth/LinHES your running, you can search for "optimize_mythdb" and run that python, perl or bash script.

3) Create a db backup regularly. I do mine daily. The mythbackup script is great for this.

Sorry, I should have given more information. I'm running a fairly current version of LinHES. I last updated about a month ago.

The good news is that your suggestions did the trick! :) optimize_mythdb.py was able to repair my seektable and now things are working as I would expect them too. Thanks for the help!

Now I just need to go shopping for a UPS...
