While I was away for a period of time I had one of my HDD die.
I tried numerous times to recover the data from it and it finally developed the click of death.

Anyway here is my challenge. There were a large number of files on that drive. They are now gone.

Pretty knows they are gone since it is an entire drive that has been removed from the system.

Is there an easier way of cleaning up the remanants of this tragedy in the mythconverg DB?

The recordings were all within 1 storage group, however that storage group covers 4 varying size drives.

The drive was mounted as /dev/myth/tv3 so it is easy to segment out, however so far I have not been able to find that identifier in the mythconverg table.

Any thoughts on an easy way to solve this? I know I can just do a delete and allow re record.

That is what I want to do is begin recording some of this stuff that is missing.

The system is on R5.5. Thanks

There is a script called myth.find_orphans.pl which helps you clean up situations like this...
