I regularly download and watch shows that I can't get in HD on my LinHES box. Unfortunately, LinHES doesn't seem to load the extensions for .avi, .divx, or xvid. After many hours of beating my head against my keyboard I found a solution. I fixed this problem by adding the extensions in "File Type Settings", make sure to down arrow the center of the three blank buttons at the bottom of the menu, this will allow you to add the extension, put in the word "Internal" under "Command:", notice that the word Internal is capitalized. To reach this menu go to "MEDIA LIBRARY", "WATCH VIDEOS", press "m" on your keyboard, this will bring up the "Video Display Menu", press the down arrow on your keyboard 6 times, this will bring you to the "Settings" menu, use the keyboard right arrow key once, this will bring up the "Video Settings" menu, down arrow to "File Type Settings", hit enter. Hope this is helpful to someone. |

I had to do the same thing to get my avi and iso file recognized and played back (http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=21197). Caused a bit of a headache at first. Strange that a video/tv playback device wouldn't have all the video file formats already setup in the video manager. |
