In looking at python versions on the machine, I see there are folders for python2.4 and python2.5?

/etc/python2.4
/user/bin/python2.4
/usr/include/python2.4
/usr/lib/python-support/miro/python2.4

/etc/python2.5
/user/bin/python2.5
/usr/include/python2.5
/usr/lib/python-support/miro/python2.5

:?: Are they both installed and all I have to do is change a symlink to make 2.5 active?
Like this? ln -s /usr/bin/python2.5 /usr/bin/python

:?: Does anyone remember why version 2.4 was active by default vs. version 2.5?

I have determined, the answer is yes.

For now, I've left python 2.4 as the active python. It works fine for all the software running in KM R5.5.
