So everything works pretty decently on my box, but every once in a while, the frontend just dies... for no apparent reason - I am not seeing anything in the logs, but I could be looking in the wrong log file or at the wrong time...

bottom line is that I want to know if it's possible to setup LIRC to launch mythfrontend from a button on my remote?

I've made changes to lirc before, have a reasonable idea of how to do it, but am not sure what application to specify as the root app for LIRC (eg like a heading for xine w/ xine remote commands, etc)

Am I wanting something that's not reasonable?

Am I unique in experiencing the frontend exiting? I experienced this before with 0.15, now I'm running 0.16... but have not experienced a change in this...
