Post subject: | Partially filled Program Guide |
For some weird reason, all other days 3 days after today have missing program information from 8:00pm to around 12:00am. For example, today is 10/1, so when I look on the program guide to any day past 10/3 I see "unknown" from 8:00pm to 12:00am. Any one else have this problem or a solution? |

I have the same problem. I chalk it up to the program guide provider not having the information for those times. mythfilldatabase in 0.16 is compiled to get 13 days of guide data as compared to 0.15 where it was compiled to get only 12 days. What I've done to counter act this is remove the mythtv-backend job from /etc/cron.daily/ folder and set a manual cron job to get guide data at 11:58 pm. Most of the time the data is there by then. If that doesn't work you could set it to go every other day, but then the days the guide is grabbed would still not be complete. I could be wrong.. and if I am someone else should pipe up and tell us how to fix it. |

I'm starting to see this now, although it's not limited to three days out. I'll check my program guide or MythWeb and notice that (for instance) tomorrow's listings are all set to NO DATA, and tomorrow's recordings don't show anything to record (since there's no data). If I then go and run mythfilldatabase it fills in the gaps and all is fine. This just recently started happening, no idea why. |

I've had the same problem for a while. What I've one is downloaded the source and changed the maxday value in programs/mythfilldatabase/filedata.cpp then compiled. you don't need to reinstall mythtv, just copy the newly compiled mythfilldatabase file in the same directory over top of the existing one in /usr/bin. |

It's a plot by those that oppose MythTV to undermine it's success!! I've also seen the problem. (Wife approval factor dropped substantially during this time....) |

Cool, I'll try that when I get back from vacation. What did you change maxday to? |

Same issue here. It has been happening since I rebuilt the system with R4V5. I rerun mythfilldatabase every 4 hours now and that has fixed it. |

strange I've never seen this problem. All my data comes from zap2it, and I've never had a problem. |
