I've been using knoppmyth for a long time now. I've been very happy with the results.
I think my favorite feature is the commercial skip. When I saw that there was a show on with the best commercials of the year, I had to record it. Knoppmyth preformed flawlessly. It didn't skip the commercials in the show, but skipped all the rest.
So I just wanted to say, thanks for all your hard work, and for making Mythtv so easy to install!

I'm going on a year now with Knoppmyth, starting with R4V5. I've had a few adventures with video cards and remotes, but for the most part it's been pretty easy, and I could not be happier with the software. Thanks again to Cecil, Dale, and anyone else who's done development on Knoppmyth (or KnoppixMyth, KnoppMythTV, or all the other names people call it that Cecil hates )
