This isn't a problem, just a question about doing an Auto Install over the top of an existing KnoppMyth install. I thought that Auto Install would wipe out existing info and start from scratch. So I've been using it repeatedly when trying to troubleshoot my remote frontend. However, then I started noticing that various settings survived the install (examples: my changing the DVD player default to xine from mplayer, my mount points for MythMusic, and my choice of OSD from the default to Titivillus (sp?)). When you're installing over an existing install, does Auto Install end up acting more like Auto Upgrade? Thanks. |

It shouldn't. Did you get and errors during the install? |

Not any errors that I know of, or that stopped things from installing. I did interrupt the install process initially to edit the mysql.txt file (since this was a remote frontend) and to run install-nvidia.sh. I also then stopped the install script from running again after I shut off mysql and mythtvbackend. |
