While we're on the subject, could you also slightly change the name of the forums?

For example, there's two "general" forums, and two "install" forums. Now, if you're at the index page, you can tell immediately which is the linux install, and which is the knoppMyth install, but if you're further down, it's not obvious. You see "mysettopbox.tv Forum Index -> General" and not "mysettopbox.tv Forum Index -> Linux -> General." But if you named them "knoppMyth Install" and "Linux install" it would be more obvious.

It's a little, nit-picky thing, but it might make the forums easier to navigate for some?

I'm hesitant to mention it, but have you considered changing the name of KnoppMyth? The greatest advantage and promise of KnoppMyth is that it is the quickest path to a working Myth system and I don't think the name KnoppMyth conveys that. It also ties the system irrevocably to Knoppix. There may be a day when you want to switch distributions, and the name would be a real drawback at that point!

I believe that things are best named for their biggest advantage rather than how they're made internally. Ideas (just spouting here on a slow Friday)...

Or even a made-up name that can show relationship to MythTv but stands apart. Marketers like to do this to establish a "brand" (which is, after all, just a made up name).

The graphic can and should support the name, to create an identity for the project. With some thought, this "branch" of Myth could become the most popular distribution by far. Think of all the non-Linux types out there who would love to have a box like this! This is the only shot most people will ever have at getting a Myth system up and running, because most people don't know how to install or maintain a Linux distro.

No, I cannot say I've ever consider changing the name. Before the first release, I thought about "The Myth of Knoppix" or "KnoppMyth".... You know which won out.

After all it installs from a CD, and was created by Cesman & Dale ?

Wow! This thread has gone from a simple request for graphical assistance to a "Let's rename KnoppMyth" contest! I don't get what's so wrong with the name as is. And no, I can't contribute to the logo, so I guess I should have just kept my mouth shut in the first place.
