Girkers has a very good point. Docs, scripts, and helping out here on the forums are all ways of giving back, too. There are LOTs of ways to show your appreciation for KnoppMyth. They all start with giving something -- money, time, or expertise of some kind. I'm sure cesman values all of our help.

I REALLY want a version of KnoppMyth that supports my PVR-500. Now that ivtv 0.4.0 (which supports the PVR-150/500) is stable, it can be added to KnoppMyth.

Is it appropriate to offer a donation as encourage this revision?

A million dollars. That way, I can quit my job and work on KnoppMyth full time. This I want, I want is beginning to water me off. Having some frelling patience and read my fricking response to the other frelling thread about a stable 0.4.0.

I mean this is a good idea open an donate link.
Some projects take help for the support, ex. Sarg you can donate x $ for their support to help you, this is paralel to forum, and is a little help to support and make an knoppmyth better.
Another help is contribute with our help and docs to the forum or donate some recurse to the project, i can get donate one web pack to put web and forum.
Cesman it does not have because to do it all single one, ours can help.

There is a donate link (Did you even read the entire thread?). Others can and do help. Help is welcomed. What isn't welcomed is self-serving comments/statements in the guise of help.
