I followed the instructions on the wiki for doing an auto-upgrade to my LVM-based backend.

http://knoppmythwiki.homelinux.org/inde ... adeWithLVM
http://knoppmythwiki.homelinux.org/inde ... e=LvmHowTo

I had to load the device mapper as mentioned in Step 4 by Abelard, but other than that snag, all seemed to go well.

However, when I check the status of the system via Information Center -> System Status -> Machine Status, it's telling me I have far less space: 3.38GB, 1.75GB used, 1.63 free.

If I view my Recorded Programs page via MythWeb, though, the numbers are correct... "using 54GB out of 324 GB"

Any ideas on (a) what caused this, and (b) how to fix it? Thanks.

What does df say?

I didn't have the same problem when I installed R5A10 yesterday. If I do a "modprobe dm-mod" I get nothing, but if I cat /proc/devices I can see the device-mapper is present. My LVM partition was created by a previous installation, so I was just hooking it up again, but it all went smoothly.

df says the right thing: 17% used on /dev/vg/myth.

System status still isn't reporting correct info, but the Delete Recordings menu is, so I'm not going to worry about this right now. I've got bigger worries, as it turns out, so I'm off to post another message. Thanks for the reply, as always.
