Has anyone noticed that after selecting xine as the default video and dvd player, they sometimes lose the ability to select menu items in certain parts of the myth frontend. I use the ati remote and remapped the xine exit keys and the myth exit keys to both be Y. I can watch videos fine in xine and I can select watch tv and the like in myth, but for some reason, when I try to quit myth or do anything in the frontend configuration, can only hit enter, and the arrow keys do not select any fields nor do the allow me to change fields.. It's not like the select is moving and I just can't see it, the select isnt even there. The only way I can get it back is to VNC into the box and use the mouse to click on a field a couple of times. Any ideas, maybe xine isn't giving focus back or something? |

Yes, this is a known problem; if you search for "xine AND focus" a recent thread should turn up. I don't believe there was a good solution, but there was a good workaround, which was to play something via MythVideo... that resets the focus somehow. |

My solution is to use the ratpoison window manager. for some reason it just works! |
