Now that R5 is here (or at least closer...). What is R5? Instead of being a remaster like previous version of KnoppMyth. R5, is built from scratch using Debian Sid and Klaus Knopper's scripts from Knoppix. This means, it will be easier for users to additional software without the worry of breaking the system. NOTE:Just because you can install whatever you want (KDE, GNOME, etc.), I don't recommend doing so as KnoppMyth is still meant to be used has a PVR.

What is different from earlier releases?
    Built from scratch.
    2.6.x kernel
    MythBrowser
    MythPhone
    CyberMediaGate
    MythTV is compiled for LCDproc and DVB.
    Terminal server.
    Free NX server.
    and more


When will the "stable" release come out? The "alpha" is very stable. It is alpha, because it doesn't have all the feature we want to included and a few bugs exists (having to modprobe ivtv for instance). The "stable" release will be released when it is done.
