I noticed this before on R5A9 and R4V5, but at the time it was the least of my worries. Now I have a nice stable system running so I would like to squash this issue. Here is the scenario: the system boots and everything starts up fine and works. The keyboard and mouse are on top of the case and not used since everything is done via the remote (although at this pont both work). After a few hours or maybe a day (I don't know the exact amount of time) I go to use the keyboard (in this case I wanted to try PIP again, so I hit the "V" key) and there is no response. I try all the keys that work on the remote (esc, M, [, ], etc) and nothing works. However, the remote works fine as does every other function in MythTV.

Any ideas? If I use the remote to reboot the system, and then try the keyboard (say using V for pip) it works, but if I leave it for a day and try to use the keyboard it does not work. Since I don't really need the keyboard its just an annoyance, but I would like to get to the root of the problem

I have a similar issue. The keyboard works fine in the BIOS, but once linux boots, the keyboard doesn't even seem to get power. Pressing the CAP and NUM locks doesn't light up the LED.

My problem is different. The keyboard works fine, in console, X, and mythTV, shortly after bootup. However, after a while it stops working

Perhaps testing the keyboard on another system? If this is a wireless keyboard, have you replaced batteries?
