Hi, I am using KnoppMyth R5A10 right now. I am wanting to know how to compile MythTV from the sources, so I can eventually use CVS to get some of the latest features. But I am having a problem. When I compile the 0.17 sources, using the sources distributed with KnoppMyth in /usr/src/mythtv, and applying the knoppmyth_tv_i686_xvmc.diff patches, my mythfrontend is >7MB. However, a normal mythfrontend in the Debian packages, and what was installed by default is roughly 1MB.

When I use my mythfrontend, audio is choppy. How can I fix this? What is the exact build process for the KnoppMyth distribution of the MythTV packages?
