Post subject:  kernel used in r5a12?

Hi,

Just a few quick questions:

Does R5A12 have the 2.6.9 kernel?

If yes, are there any plans to update it to 2.6.10 or later in future releases?

The main reason I ask is because my dvb card (avermedia dvb-t 771) has kernel modules in 2.6.10 and above only, and there's no point me upgrading from R4 now if the kernel is going to change sometime soon..

If there's no plans to update kernel at all (if it aint broke, dont fix it ;)), then I'll just use the dvb-kernel drivers inserted on top of 2.6.9.

Cheers,

Will

Can someone please give me a little mini howto on installing DVB kernel drivers. Hopefully it will help with my visionplus problem where I only get a black screen.

Perhaps a search of the forum? Nigel has already written an excellent howto on adding DVB.
