All DVB cards can receive HDTV. Getting a fast enough PC and graphics card, or reliable operation in MythTV is a bit harder, though.

I use an old card, the TwinHan VisionPlus DVB-T. The card doesn't have a very sensitive receiver, which means it requires a good antenna and good quad shielded cabling (and maybe an RF amplifier). It is supported by linux 2.6.3 thru 2.6.9, and thus works with KnoppMyth R5A12.

Of the new cards, the AverMedia DVB-T 771 or DVICO Fusion HDTV lite are good value. They are much more sensitive than the older cards, and are supported by linux 2.6.10 or higher, but at the moment this requires a kernel upgrade for KnoppMyth.

Does this mean if i got one of these cards, i just plug them in and they will be detected?

I'm planing on using fedora 4?

Nigel's comment on needing to upgrade the kernel is a bit dated. The current version of KnoppMyth (R5A26 as of this writing) has a 2.6.13 kernel, so these more sensitive cards will just work. If you want your box as a dedicated PVR, I would recommend knoppmyth instead of fedora.
