. Close Mythfrontend (CTRL + ALT + BACKSPACE);
. ALT + S FOR FAILSAFE TERMINAL;
. Run mythtv-setup in terminal;
. ENTER (Leave ...);
. ENTER (Leave ...);
. Choose Input Source and select one;
. Set Start Channel (1, 2, 3, ...);
. Choose Channel Editor;
. Choose Advanced;
. Add one transport;
. ESC, ESC;
. Select Scan DVB Channel;
. Selecto Scan Transport created;
. ENTER, ENTER;
. Good Luck.

Hola! Jaelson
Good description of how to scan. I suspect the problem is something simpler, though.

Brad, two thoughts:
1) After scanning, did you set channel numbers in the Channel Editor?
I don't think MythTV copes if there are none.
2) Does the start channel exist?
I think the default start channel for each card (in the Card Inputs settings) is 3. This is the channel that the backend tries to tune to when you first "Watch TV", and if it doesn't match a number defined in the channel editor, then you will get the PID errors (the message that the backend reports should be improved).

I know I have made both of these mistakes before.

Hi,

1. Scanning is automatic but you will need to adjust channel number in Channel Editor.

2. Start Channel is in "Input Conection".

Visit http://www.digitalregime.com/mythdvb/setup/ for details.

superkrusty's Start channel config is NULL (vide "please correct your channel $" message) and need to be set for 1 or 2 or 3 ... in Input Conection Option.

My DVB-s (Skystar 2 Rev. 2.6c) in Mythtv is good. I´m in Brasilsat B1 Satellite and my PIP show local analogue channels (Hauppage WinTV).
