 Post subject: apt-get dist-upgrade?

Hi,

I've installed the latest knoppmyth, and I was wondering if it makes sense to run a dist-upgrade?

When I tried to run it, it mentioned that 405 packages needed to be upgraded... is this normal?

Is it advisable to upgrade, or should I leave it alone?

For example, I have a GeForce 440MX, and I know there are updated nvidia drivers out there. If I do a dist-upgrade, would the nvidia drivers be upgraded? Should I upgrade nvidia drivers separately?

Thanks for any advice.

While you should have no issues w/ dist-upgrade, leave well enough alone. Don't make any changes if your system is functioning w/o issue. No, this wouldn't upgrade the nvidia drivers.
