Hi There I have setup my P3 1GHz to use MythTV together with a Haupauge 350 card. The tv watching and recording works well, with picture and sound. But when i copied some .mpg and .avi files from my windows machine to /myth/video i can play the videos using mplayer through MythVideo, but i get no sound at all ![]() Anyone has an idea ? Another thing, i have install mplayer-nogui was that a bad idea, because i cant' step back for forward in the video, or even cancel it while playing ![]() Hope somebody can help. best regards theDiver |

well if you are using knoppmyth the mplayer that comes with it should be fine. not sure what the nogui one is, but I would think it should be fine. are you trying to skip and exit with keyboard or remote. I bet you are sending your sound straight from your pvr350 to your tv aren't you? If you do that no other part of myth other than tv will ever have sound. you need to plug the sound out from the pvr350 to linein on your soundcard and go from there to your tv/reciever. |

Quote: well if you are using knoppmyth the mplayer that comes with it should be fine. Hmm i didnt know there was a Mplayer together with Knoppmyth ![]() So i just did a 'apt-get install mplayer-nogui' Is there anyway to remove the apt-get'et version of mplayer and use the KnoppMyth one instead, or dosen't it matter ? Quote: not sure what the nogui one is, but I would think it should be fine. are you trying to skip and exit with keyboard or remote. I tried to use keyboard, havent gotten the Hauppauge 350 remote to work yet. And nothing worked ![]() Quote: I bet you are sending your sound straight from your pvr350 to your tv aren't you? That is absolutly correct.
