Aplogies if this is a daft question. Is the kernel supplied with R5A15 built with the latest (or a very recent) V4L patch? I downloaded R5A12 before the recent release however the kernel isn't built with the drivers needed to run my LR6650 DVB-T card. Support for this card is included in the latest V4l patch as I'm already running a patched kernel on another machine. If I'll still have to patch the kernel with R5A15 then it will be quicker for now to stick with R5A12. |

Thanks for the reply ... in short no. Perhaps the omission of any references to the V4L drivers would be an answer to my question but then again the last mention of the drivers was over a year ago. The kernel *must* have been patched against a more recent version since then!! In the end I just installed R5A15 - it still didn't support the card. So I ended up swapping cards with my other backend which was already patched upto date. |
