USB pendrive won't mount under version R5A15

Post subject:  USB pendrive won't mount under version R5A15
I have been using a pen drive on my Myth box since version R4V2 of myth and haven't had any problems but since I upgraded to R5A15 I haven't been able to mount my pen drive. I have tried to mount it as /dev/sda1 and /dev/uba1 and I always get the same error "mount: /dev/uba1 is not a valid block device"

This is part of the output from "cat /proc/diskstats" which indicates that /dev/uba1 is the correct device to mount. Does anyone have any suggestoins on how to fix this problem.
