Hi all,
after finally taking the 'plunge' and building my brand new myth box, I've struggled on with things I know nothing about (e.g. linux, linux, linux, etc), anway after ditching a G450 because I couldn't get the tv out working, I moved onto the G400.

2 Weeks later and I've managed to get the tv out working and written a short script to start it up on boot. Not bad for a noob!!

Here's the problem, when I boot the computer the fbset commands in the script have done nothing to alter the size/shape of the screen, however if I press control+alt+F1 the screen is fitted perfectly to my tv, so I know the script is working but it ends there F2 - F7 are all still squashed up!

If I enter them manually they work fine ( fbset /dev/fb0 -left 16 -right 24 etc) on all screens. I just can't seem to get them to start automatically on any screen except F1.

Hope this makes sense. Please, Please help me before I go insane spending another week on this problem!

Cheers in advance

Oddski

there was a thread not too long ago about someone getting either a 400 or 450 working. It has some info in it, and you could probably pm the author to get more details. Most of us here don't use those cards.
