I recently set up a SBE in addition to my MBE. The MBE has one tuner card (pvr250) and the sbe has one tuner card (bttv card). The setup seems to work well. I can watch live tv on the sbe. The sbe also records to the MBE. No problems watching recordings , etc. Very satisfied with the setup.

When the sbe is booted, (the mbe is up 24/7) and I set a program to record, some times it will record using the tuner in the sbe, somettimes it uses the tuner in the mbe. So I thought I would try setting two programs (different channels ) to record, to see if it wouild use both tuners at once. It would not record both programs. I just left default 0 priority when setting the recordings.One show would record and the other would show as a conflict.

So I went into mytv-setup on the mbe and set the pvr250 (under input devices) to priority 1, thinking it would record with the mbe first and the sbe second. No joy, still confilict.

Shouldn't the sbe/mbe be able to record two shows that start at the same time?
