With recorded TV, I can't mute or set volume to minimum without getting a little bit of sound anyway. Also, when I resume playback of recorded content, the volume starts low and goes back to normal after a split second. This is really annoying when I pause during dialog. With mplayer, 4.1 channel AC3 stuff works great, but 5.1 channel AC3 stuff won't change volume. Minimum volume and maximum volume are the exact same thing. I've got an Abit NF7-S in my frontend, and I'm using the analog output of the onboard sound card. I believe it's the MCP-T chip, aka Soundstorm. I would really appreciate any advice on these problems. Thanks! |
