Post subject:  Quick question before I go all out on this
I've played with mythtv before( zero success :( ) I will be using Knoppmyth for the front ends only, and FC3 for the backend. I will be using 3 frontends, one of which has a brand new HDTV on it(HDMI and Component) Here is the list of questions I have:

1) Whats the best output for an HTPC to a HDtv?(1080i)

2) I see that the DCT6200 is supported, as well as the SA3250 for firewire input. I know the DCT is a cable box, what about the SA? Is it cable or satellite?

3) Obviously 2 of the TV's aren't HD and thus can't display video naturally that high. Does mythtv automatically compress HD programs for view on a normal TV?

I am sure I will have more questions, so this is where I will start. Thanks

Answer to Q3:
I have a normal (4:3) TV and a DVB card and the picture displays fine. The only issue is that although most of the programming is 16:9 the bits that aren't have a black box all the way around the picture as it is formatted for a 16:9 TV.

This is just a limitation on the TV programs and has nothing to do whatsoever with KnoppMyth.

Answer to Q1:

Nvidia 6600GT with HD Out works good with no converter box..
