It sounds like nuv2disc should be automatically installed as part of the R5A16 install, but I don't appear to have it. /usr/local/bin/nuv2disc.sh is a sym link pointing to a non-existant directory, but the file /usr/local/bin/nuv2disc-install.sh is a real script. Based on what I've read it sounds like I can install by simply running that script, but before I get myself into too much trouble, I have two questions:

1. Am I correct that simply running that script will do a proper install?

2. Is the fact that nuv2disc was not installed as a result of my R5A16 upgrade (from R4V9) indicitive of a deeper problem that I need to sort through before I go any further?

Thanks!

Marc

look under the knoppmyth menu you should see create dvd. If that brings something up nuv2disc is installed.

Already tried that -- it doesn't do anything. Also, I do not have a directory named "/myth/nuv2disc" on my system -- looks like that wasn't created.

I have the same situation. I found this

http://extras.mythtvtalk.com/install_htm.html

and added the menu item as specified at the bottom of the page. Seems to work.
