I have sucessfully runned VDR under Gentoo with TV-out from a SS1 DVB-card for almost two years. The picture is splitted between my projector (1280x720 LCD) and a regular TV-set (for the kids everyday viewing) trough my AV-receiver. I would like to try out MythTV but I am not sure how to share the picture between the projector and the TV-set. I would like to run Myth in 720p for the projector and PAL for the TV. I got a Matrox G400 Dual Head and I know how to get TV-out from the secondary port but I guess that it will limit the available resolutions on the primary port. I doubt that I will be able to run 1280x720 on the primary port and clone that as PAL TV-out on the secondary port. Does anyone know of a solution that would make it possible to easily switch between 720p and TV-out in MythTV (using the G400 or any other solution)? |

however you did it in gentoo should work on knoppmyth. |

Xsecrets wrote: however you did it in gentoo should work on knoppmyth. I was using a full feature DVB-S card for VDR and it is outputting PAL directly (VDR draws it's OSD on the overlay of that card, not on screen via the GFX-card). I didn't even install X on that machine...
