Hopefully someone can help here. I have used nuvexport twice before, and successfully converted some PAL-UK mpeg4 NUV's to DVD mpg format (option 6). My recordings are from a winTV analog card - no cutlist - not previously transoded. Unfortuantely while moving the files to a windows box for burning, I accidentally deleted the mpg's. Now when I run nuvexport with the same options, it crashes about 30 mins after starting, and leaves my Myth box completely hung with flashing keyboard lights. (i can't find any logs to show why) This is repeatable after a full reboot. I will try again with a different nuv file, but any ideas would be useful. How can I log nuvexport's output to a file so I can access it after reboot ? Rgds, Pete |

Is there any information in /var/log/messages? you'll have to look back before the start of the current boot to see the messages just before the reboot, but flashing keyboard lights generally means some sort of kernel oops and there should be something there in the logs. |
