real linux newb here, so forgive any incompiance. I've been trying to rip a dvd on my brand new mythTV box and it's not having it. I can play a DVD just fine, so I know that the hardware is setup ok. I looked around and found out that I need to run mtd as a daemon (which I think means in the background, right?). so I open a bash shell and type in mtd -n as specified in the mythTV docs and I get mesages saying: mtd is listening on port 2342 libdvdread: Encripted dvd support unavailiable No css library available and a whole bunch more Not surprisingly then when I try to rip a dvd it sits there and does nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks for any help. |

knoppmyth does not ship with css as it's not legal to do so in the U.S. but if you can't rip for that reason you will not be able to playback for the exact same reason. |
