WOW! i think im finally at the point im done, i have a Master Backend (mbe), a Slave Backend (sbe), dedicated frontend xbox's - and everything is working great! - well everything but 1 last item... Knoppmyth Burn DVD on the Slave Backend (which incidently is also a frontend for my main setup).

For the life of me i can not get this to work, it connects to my backend, it repeats over and over again

, and finally gives up... i have it pulling the programing lists, so it knows where my shows are, but it can not find them...

Im really looking for someone that can give me a walkthrough on this, i have hit the gossamerthreads and searched, ive tryed alot of things - but no matter what i do i cant find how to get this to work.

My frontend is a faster computer, (athlon64), then my backend, which is why i want to burn the programs on this one (plus i dont want to go to the under the stairs storage all the time to burn a dvd

- On a side note as well, now that im thinking speeds and such, is there a way that i can have my SBE do the encoding for my dvdrips from the xboxs? say, i have the an NFS of /mnt/video pointing to my sbe:/myth/video (this is the storage on the sbe im using for videos?

welp, solved this one myself... on my frontend, i removed the /tv folder and since i already had a nfs mount from my backend, i just mounted my backends tv folder in my slavebackend (frontend as well) 's tv folder


ie
#ln -s /mnt/mbe/tv /myth/tv

works like a charm... now to get my xbox dvdrips to be transcoded by my frontend...
