Hi,
Not sure of what button I pushed, however I must have gotten the auto exire upset with me. A running R5A16 that just has been working well, decided that all the copies of Dora and RugRats needed to go. Material not marked as auto expire remained intact.

The last step that I had done, was a manual record that pushed disk space to the auto expire threshold of 4 gig. I deleted that recording after reviewing it. The next day, I went to check on another show for big people, and noticed the clearance of the "valuable" recodings.

Being curious, went to check on things starting with drive space. The myth directory reported 100% , the image_cache still had all the thumbnails, the /myh/tv only had the remaing shows as did /myth/pretty and everything looked normal except df -h reporting 100%. A reboot cleared the 100% and all seems to be working normal.

Basicly the question I have is, if the disk reachs the almost full level, is the auto expire suppose to remove all that are checked or just one at a time to stay under the threshold?

On a plus note, my R5A16 system did not crash, throw up, or doing anything obviously bad. Just cleaned house of auto expire recordings and the 100% usage of the /myth directory. My music continued to play on :)

Any ideas? I plan to try to make it repeat the cycle. Only part that is really of concern is the 100% usage not being reset after the purge.

Thanks
Mike
