Need some clarification on LIRC support in KnoppMyth R5A16.

It seems that there is built in LIRC support, but I'm not sure if it has what I need.

Been trying to get my FireFly remote working for a couple days.

From what I have gathered, I need to be using the 'lirc_atiusb' module to get the FireFly remote to communicate with the receiver.

When I run 'lircd --driver=' it lists 'atilibusb', but not 'atiusb'.

I tried 'atilibusb' anyway and ran irw, but I don't see anything on the screen when I push a button on the remote. It just sits there waiting for input. I figure it must be the wrong driver.

I have copied a Firefly lircd.conf I found to /etc/lirc/lircd.conf

I have tried running lirc-reconfig.sh. The first time, this seemed to work, but now if I try to run lirc-reconfig.sh, I get an eror message "Couldn't build LIRC Kernel Modules". Ack!

The other thing is, I don't see an lirc directory in /var/log, so I'm not sure where to look for messages other than /var/log/messages. Heh.

What else can I try?

Jon
