My hard drive has been running continuously for about 10 or 14 hours straight even when Myth is not recording a program. In fact, the hard drive usage is so severe that my recorded shows slow down as if in slow motion for about 2 or three seconds then returns to normal. If I go in and kill mythcommflag, the hard drive stops. I have Auto commercial flagging enabled and using R5A 15.1. Is mythcommflag catching up on flagging commercials within my programs that haven't been flagged and set? Has anyone seen anything like this and can perhaps offer a suggestion? I did several searches here and could only find instances where users could not get mythcommflag to start properly. Thanks, |

I found this on another forum. Does this sound like a possible solution and do any of you use any of the options below? Quote: You can set it to run only during a specific time, like midnight to 8:00 am. Check the mythtvsetup - general setup, and look for the Job Que settings for that.
Another option is go into Information Center - System Status - Job Que. You can do some manipulating there of the jobs, including pausing or stopping them. Last one I know of is in Media Library - Watch Recordings. If you navigate to the show thats running a transcode or commflag, you can bring up job options to stop them. |

Mods, feel free to delete these posts if need be. I guess I'm still quite a noob. I checked under the Information area and found that 8 recorded programs were in my que to be commercial flagged! Sorry for the ignorant post. Now I know where to look next time. |
