So I am running the onboard nforce audio.

I have setup alsamixer to use mic plug and linein plug as outputs.

I set mplayer -channels 6

I have the outputs going into a 5.1 discrete input amp.

When I playback a working video with 5.1 AC3 sound,
I am getting fl/fr ok. My center/lfe and surround channels are very quiet (compared to my fl/fr). I am getting random output from my sub sometimes sound, sometimes not, (all cables and sub working properly). Also in alsamixer the surround fader controls the center/lfe and center/lfe controls the surround. I swapped the connectors on the computer to compensate.
