I am setting up lirc 7.2 with my pvr150 silver remote with ir blaster. I have the remote working but now need to get another lirc running for the ir blaster. The lirc2remote.sh script http://iwamble.net/6901.html is supposed to help. But it is written for lirc-0.7.1pre2. I changed all lirc-0.7.1pre2 to lirc-0.7.2 but it did not work. Any suggestion?

well, I just looked at the script, it doesnt seem to do anything special with the lirc version except use it to find the directory containing the code.

The version I see online at your link assumes lirc-0.7.0pre8. If the script were written a little different, it could be written 'lirc version independent'

I am a little confused by one thing....the script seems to be changing lirc directories to remote2 directories. dont you need to have both trees around?

I guess you install a new tree from lirc.org and start there.

an easy, but unelegant way to use the script as-is would be to:

1) untar any version of the lirc tree (call it version lirc-X-X-X)
2) mv lirc-X-X-X lirc-0.7.0pre8
3) run script
4) mv lirc-0.7.0pre8 lirc-X-X-X
