Putting the finishing touch on R4V2. Yes R5 is still in the works, we are just taking our time with it, we do want to get it right the first time. Changelog:
ati_remote w/ patch
ivtv 0.1.9 w/ M179 patch
linux-wlan-ng 2.0
mad-wifi 20040203
MythTV 0.14
NFS(no longer broken configured to export /myth)
nvram-wakeup 0.91
Samba 3.01(configured to export /myth)
XMLTV 0.5.27
cleans up and bug fixes...

I should have it up on one of the mirrors tomorrow. If you have R4 working well with 0.14, then I suggest you do not upgrade. That is not to say there is something wrong w/ V2. But why mess with a good thing up? If you have an extra hard drive laying aroung that would be great. If you can and are willing to kick the tires on V2, that would be much appreciated. Drop me an email or PM and I'll give the details once it is up. Please don't post asking about R5. Please don't post asking why wasn't feature X added. Please don't post asking if I can sneak feature X in before releasing(unless you can send some cash my way ;)).

Cecil

Lots of the items in the changelog look like fantastic additions to an already great product. Good job and keep up the great work :)

Oh, did you setup the myth shutdown menu to add the option to quit and shutdown PC to the out-of-the-box version?

What is the minimum sized hard drive required to install R4v2? I don't want to mess up my current setup but I do have an extra 10 gig drive that I could use to beta test with. Obviously I won't try to store a ton of shows on it. Will that work?

It should, the smallest that I've tested with is 16 gigs...

Well as soon is it is on the mirrors I'll give it a shot. Do you want info on my specific setup etc. Or do you just want posts if I run into problems?

I'll test it too. I had R4 running with a 250 and 350 doing dual tuner with no problems, except the occasional crash. I even got the 350 output to display X! Anyways, count me in.

Honer

I have a spare 10gig laying around. I'll gladly test it. I have a pvr-250 and pvr-350. Will TV out work with this beta?

Thanks
Malcolm

If you question is, is it setup automagically? No. IvyTV and MythTV have both matured so you have a better chance.

I've manually got the 350 TV out working on another hard drive with my own install. I did a Mandrake 9.2 install, kernel.org kernel patched with v4l2, Mythtv 01.4 (compiled from source), ivtv 0.1.9 (compiled from source) and hours of figuring it out.

Atleast I now know what's involved in making it work so I'll gladly see if I can make it work on your new beta.

Thanks
Malcolm
