Hello all!

Just like to say thank you to all people involved with this nice distribution, KnoppyMyth and also with MythTV. I had already a box running with FC4 and also shortly with Ubuntu. Both were not what I expected for a HTPC. FC was not easily upgradable, Ubuntus MythTV community/support is, let's sa, not very good.

Never had a Mythbox up and running that fast as with KnoppMyth, I was very surprised!

Thanks again! And keep up the great work on this distribution!
Joe

You have obviously mistakenly downloaded the wrong distribution. Check out this post for a more balanced opinion http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic. ... light=cmon

lol! I read that yesterday. Some valid points, no doubts. But how you tell this people is pretty important. I knew, that it is alpha and wanted to test it. It works fine for me, and it looks like it works also for a lot of other people, so we are happy with it.

bw. How does an upgrade to the next version work? Is _everything_ in the "auto-upgrade" procedure? Meaning that I have always to download the ISO? Or is there a possibility to do it via apt-get?

You need the ISO, and it is important that you do a backup (Available in the knoppmyth menu) before auto-upgrading to the new version.

Ok, thanks.

What is the frequency of new releases? Normally after a MythTV Release or more often?

You're welcome. That lovely post... I try to get one out shortly after a new MythTV is released. Due to the pace of developemnt however, you may see several releases inbetween MythTV releases. At the moment however work has me swamped and development is slow...
