Post subject:  Compiling my own kernel.

Hi!

Support for hardware sensors and other stuff that i need are now included i stock kernel 2.6.13. The question is now, how much have the knoppix/debian(?) people modified 2.6.11? Could i expect the new 2.6.13 kernel work right away, or do i need some extra patches to have it working like the kernel bundled with 16A5? I'm using a AverMedia 771 DVB-T card BTW.

Thanks for a nice distribution and a forum with lots of answers!

I use the vanilla kernel plus a few patches. If all you hardware is supported in the kernel, then you should have no issues.
