Post subject:  Problems when my ringbuffer gets full

When my ring buffer fills up, it does auto-unpause and start playing. The main problem is if I am "playing around", e.g. ffw, rrw, pause, skip-back-ahead at the back of the ring buffer after I let it fill up, I get frequent freezes of Live-TV. The freezes last up to 20 seconds or so, and even after that, I usually lose the input into MythTV. (I can't control it anymore).

There could be a red herring here, it could infact just be Live-TV time and not the ring buffer maxingout. I have yet to leave MythTV running all night playing LiveTV in PLAY mode (vs PAUSE mode). To start this whole problem, I leave it running at night. I will do that next, but that won't be for another 16 hours.

[The Output Section]
- Mythbackend is not outputting anything, not a single line of text after its normal initialization text.

- Mythfrontend is outputting:

ac-tx damaged 0 [Once so far]
Warning MVs not available [Once so far]
Waited too long for video out to pause [Many continually once per second]

Once I see the 'Waited too long for video out to pause' message (after I press PAUSE of course after seeking around), sometimes it comes back after 20 seconds, and sometimes it never comes back.. its been stuck in this state right now for the past 17 minutes (as I write this message).

[System Information Section]
Celeron 2.6ghz
VIA (VT8754 Northbridge, VT8235 Southbridge)
256 Megabytes DDR
Two 250 Gigabyte IDE-133 (WDs)
GeForce 6200 (Using Component Out HD480i)
A single PVR-150 (Non-MCE)

[My Setup Section]
My ring buffer is set to 8 gigabytes, my disk is 9 gigabytes for /cache.

/cache is only 86% usage when MythTV's ringbuffer is 100% on the OSD while pausing live TV.

The INodes are only 1% used for the /cache partition.

The other partitions are 41% used for /, and 1% used for /myth, INodes are even smaller % used.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
