I have a nvidia mx440 but can not get itv-out working. I tried commenting out everything except 800*400 on the nvidia tv-out sample version but it did not work. Anyone got a Xfree86-x config file I could use that works.

Regards,
Ben

PS I have changed the subject to include R5A22

What version of KnoppMyth are you using? I have an MX440. It worked without a problem on R5A22. I just renamed the nvidia Xfree file. Why 800x400? You should be running at 800x600 or 640x480.

Ime using R5A22 also. I copied the nvidia tv-out sample files and remmed everything out exept 800*600 (it said this was the res to use in the myth docs). This made sence to me since the reselution of off air is more then 640*480. So you are saying I need to rem out everything except 800*600 and 640*480 or do I need to leave everything unremmed (not at pc till tonight). Could you email your file using http://www.gurtlush.org.uk/profiles.php?uid=4

What do you mean you are using video out not svideo? How do you connect your video out to a tv?

I have the Geforce2 MX400 and I installed R5A22 with a TV connected to the svideo out and no monitor. I entered
Code:
tv
at the first prompt when booting the cd and I didnt need to make any changes to XF86Config-4 for the TV out to appear.

video out is the phono connecter, svideo is the small 5 pin din thing. svideo is better quality but only big good quality TVs support it. It is possible to get a svideo to scart connecter but many tvs do not have fully specified svideo in the scart and you get a black and white image.

Go through your Xfree file and look for the TV out section. It should have a line that mentions s-video. You should do a little checking, but I believe you need to change the S-video to Composite.
