Hello, I wanted create a multimedia PC for my living room and I chose Myth TV. Being newbie on Linux, I chose to install Knoppmyth. I would have some questions as for the use of Myth TV :

1) How can i read a video or a mp3 shared on my network (under Win XP) with Myth TV ?

2) How to recover the infos on films in french ?

3) How can i transfer on the hard disk of my Mythbox films or mp3s ? (I have a IP well but after...)

4) My S-video exit functions until the starting of the interface of Myth TV but no more after (I have only one orange screen) whereas with VGA exit that functions...

Thank you in advance for your answers !

1. Yes. On linux software called samba allow you to access Windows shared folders. Check this howto on the WIKI. http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php? ... SambaHowTo
2. ? Do you mean can plot, actors, movie posters etc be filled in for a french film? If you choose search IMDB and it finds the film great. If not you can manually enter in the above info.
3. Samba, When setup your Windows PC will see the knoppmyth box as a shared computer or you can use a program called winscp to transfer files.
4. Sounds like the nVidia drivers are not installed correctly On R5A22 the install should setup your nVidia based card. For other versions check this howto on WIKI. Here are 2 good howtos on wiki http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=NvidiaSetup

A lot of these topics have been covered you can use above terms and search around for old topics that cover in greater detail.

BTW - you mean "output" (rendement) not "exit" (sortie).
