While I have a working remote file, what is the best one out there people are using? I have a pvr 250 and right now am using the default script from the latest release of R5A22.

Thanks in advance

it's not the lircd.conf file that does the custom magic. If your remote works, then you have what you need. Now the real power comes from your lirccrc file in /home/mythtv/.mythtv (I think that is right).
This is where you define what all those buttons do, and where they do it. Now that is the real tool to having the "best" configuration for "you."

Take a look at it, and you will quickly see what you can do. Remap buttons to different myth functions. Set your remote up for Xine etc... Even run shell scripts with the press of a button on your remote. (Can you say single button press to run /etc/init.d/gdm restart.) Damn if this has not saved me a ton of grief from my wife over the last 18 months of using myth. :-)

And to head off some others. That remote is so well used and documented, you really should search around the forums more. I think everything your could want is here and on the wiki ten fold.
