Post subject:  Can you get analog surround sound from DVB-T setup?

I have a nice little Knoppmyth setup on an older computer, but using a nice new DVB-T card.

I am getting stereo sound from the Ensoniq1373 chip based sound on the motherboard at the moment. The manual says the chip can actually do AC-3, I believe it re-uses the mic and line-in sockets for the extra lineout channels in this mode.

Can the audio, which is actually surround sound I believe, that comes from the DVB card be sent to the soundcard and get it to use all 5.1 channels, and of course, if so, how? :)

If I can't get 5.1, can I get the older Dolby Digital Pro, i.e. does it mix the other channels into the stereo out to enable this?
