Post subject: | Recent hardware additions caused no channel-changing |
I had a perfectly running KnoppMyth installation: Compaq P-450MHz, 160GB IDE, 256MB RAM, PVR-350 using TV-out, Remote that came with PVR card, CD-ROM (NO DVD). Basic analog cable connected. I recently added another 300GB Hard drive and LVM as well. I also removed the CD-ROM and replaced it with a DVD-RW drive. Now, for some reason, I can't change channels. I can use the guide in with the remote, but when choosing another channel, it won't change. I thought about making sure the cable setting was still correct in the setup, but can't figure out how to get back there (I remember a "default", "Cable" and "Cable-HRC" setting?). I'm not sure if that's the cause of my trouble either. I can post files but don't even know where to start. Additionally, after converting to LVM after adding the new hard drive, I lost all my recorded TV shows (nearly a full 160GB Hard drive) but the listings still show up in the available recorded shows - both in the web interface, and in the Mythtv interface (using the remote). How do I delete them from showing up, since they're not really there. I tried to delete them in MythTV, but can't delete the listings - even thought the actual file is gone off the hard drive. Another thing - it won't record anymore either. I'm guessing it's related to the "can't change channel" problem. Using the web interface, I tell it to record a show, and nothing happens. It thinks there's nothing to record: Code: Schedule Same thing using the remote.
There are no shows scheduled for recording. I planned on doing a completly new install, but thought I'd ask if it's feasable to fix this first. Is this a hopeless cause and I should start over? |
