I just installed my new second hard drive and mounted it as my /myth folder.

Two small problems. I guess all of the permissions didn't copy over properly so I was forced to do a chown mythtv:mythtv on the entire dir. I was wondering if there are any special permissions that have to be set on any of the dirs ?

For example. Mythtv we doesn't show preview thubnails anymore more. This is what I get ...

Warning at /usr/share/mythtv/mythweb/includes/mythbackend.php, line 223:
copy(image_cache/2577_20040209074900_20040209080000.nuv.png): failed to open stream: Permission denied

Which leads me to think that just a standard mythtv chown won't cut it.

Here are the permissions I have in the myth folder ..

drwxr-xr-x 2 mythtv mythtv 4096 Feb 9 01:05 backup
drwxr-xr-x 3 mythtv mythtv 4096 Feb 9 01:05 gallery
drwxr-xr-x 6 mythtv mythtv 4096 Feb 9 01:05 games
drwxrwxr-x 2 mythtv mythtv 4096 Feb 9 07:39 image_cache
drwx------ 2 mythtv mythtv 16384 Feb 9 01:04 lost+found
drwxr-xr-x 2 mythtv mythtv 4096 Feb 9 01:05 music
drwxr-xr-x 2 mythtv mythtv 4096 Feb 9 01:05 tmp
drwxr-xr-x 2 mythtv mythtv 4096 Feb 9 07:59 tv
drwxr-xr-x 3 mythtv mythtv 4096 Feb 9 01:05 video

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Is /usr/share/mythtv/mythweb/image_cache symlinked to /myth/image_cache?

Yes it is symlinked in there. It doesn't look like any previews are actually being created in the image_cache folder. It's empty even after a program starts to record.

Try 777 on the image_cache directory.
