I think this has started happening after I upgraded to r5a22. It now starts recording bang on the start time instead of 60secs before, it also stops bang on the stop time instead of 60secs after :S

What could I have changed for this to stop working? I've been searching frantically through the setup trying to find places it could have been overided but with no luck :(

Someone please help me!

No one have any ideas?

In the recording options for a specific program, if i set it to start 1 min early and stop 1 min late it works, but it blocks the next program from recording :S

Could someone post if they are successfully using the global settings in r5a22 and if they upgraded from a previous version or not.

thx

After one of my recent testing excursions and reverting to R5A22, I notice this happening too. I had to go through the TV settings to get it working again. Possibly they changed the spelling of the "value" or now require the "hostname" be set or something. Just going through the appropriate settings screens to "finish" fixed it.

I've fixed it!

I think I gave my machine a different hostname during the upgrade...

I went through the settings table in the database and noticed the hostname was set for "RecordOverTime" & "RecordPreRoll" to the old hostname (the values would still change if i changed them in the settings though!)

I deleted both those rows, went through the settings in mythtv (it created those rows with NULL hostname) and now it all works :D

:D :D :D

Thank you, mad_paddler!

I had the same problem upgrading from R5A16 to R5D1 and solved it the way you described.

Good work!

P.S.: It seems that you have to delete old programmed recordings like "daily" and "weekly" and reprogram them to take effect.
