Hi,

I'm trying to import a number of mp3's into my myth machine, but it just crashes. I don't now exactly how many mp3's there are, but I think it's somewhere over 3000 songs.

Is it normal that it crashes at this point?

What exactely happens, is that it's trying to show the status-bar, and after that nothing happens. There is also hardly any output of mythfrontend. Just that there is another DB-connection.

i only have about ~500 and it does fine.. but i dont have have 3000 like you.. maybe if you could zip them up and upload a torrent i could take a better look at the problem.. <joke> =)

Somewhere between 1300 and 1400 here and it works for me... There is definitely a slow down as the list gets bigger however. I suspect some naive algorithms buried down in the MythMusic list handling and have seen comments to that effect from the MythTV developers.
