I built a system for my buddy late last year. It is running R4V5. He called last night and said he got home from a trip and there was only one entry in watch recordings and it happened to be the only one from 2004. Also all scheduled recordings were lost but the program guide was working properly. He was able to do a test recording and it ran properly and showed in the watch recordings list.

I connected using WinSCP and could see that the disk was ~50% full (same as shown on the delete page). Looking at the .nuv files I could also see that the last recording activity was a 30 minute program 2 days earlier and only the first 3 minutes ran.

I checked the databases per prior posts and there were no errors I also repaired them and no problems were reported.

Any suggestions on what else I can look at?

My friend says that none of the existing recordings are keepers. He would like them back but not a absolute requirement.

Hi,
Count noses. By that I mean check the dates of what is in the /myth/tv and see if those are valid, If you run mythlink.sh it should help compare what is in the db to what you have in /myth/tv ,

http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6150& is a rather indepth discussion about a build up of dead wood that may apply to your problem.

A good search tool to help you look on the forum:
http://www.google.com/advanced_search?q ... as_qdr=all

check with df -h and df -i for space available. May want to upgrade to R5A16 to pick up extra features, It is also very very stable.

Hope this helps.
Mike

fsck all partitions and check the db for errors.

Hi user401,

Also check you menu settings as the are a couple of check boxes in there that make things disappear. I forget exactly which one but it has to do with grouping the recordings. A friend of mine had that occur, when he was trying to seperate stuff for his kids and wife. I believe his symtoms were everything was present on the web page, just not local recordings.
