I transcode using "Ecellent" quality, but I then realized a few DVDs into my collection that only the "perfect" (non transcoded) content shows up in the menus. What must be done so that I can play yhe content which I transcoded?

While I am on it, does anyone know if a XBox has the power to play transcoded content ("Excellent" setting) from over a wired network?

Thanks!

check back in videos now, it should show up there.

when you copy a video file to /myth/video it will not show up in Media Library->Watch Videos until you go in to Utilities/Setup->Video Manager

I thought though that when a DVD is ripped that the video library was auto updated. let me test that.

They now do -- thanks.

I think I have r5a16 or something like that. I can't figure out how to upgrade to the newest version. I did manage to do a backup...

I just migrated from to a 300GB drive running R5A26, from a 120GB drive running R5A16.
R5A16 had this same thing where you had to go to video manager first, then it would show up in library.

If you want to upgrade, go to knoppmyth->backup so you have a backup.
Then download R5A26 and choose auto upgrade. It formats and reinstalls everything on the root partition though, but your backup will get vital stuff from /etc like your X config.
